WASHINGTON, Jan. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Turkish Americans are joining together in Washington and New York to form a new organization, the Turkish Institute for Progress. While the official launch is still a few weeks away, spokespeople for the Turkish Institute for Progress say that the group will "demonstrate areas of international cooperation with Turkey and establish additional avenues to achieve global progress on economic, social, and security issues, including: breaking down barriers to trade between the US and Turkey, addressing regional energy dependence, and deterring the continued spread of radicalism."
The group is comprised of and funded solely by Americans, proud of their Turkish heritage. The leadership, staff, and supporters will all be dedicated to promoting facts about Turkey, its strategic importance in the region, and ways to foster a productive international dialogue.
In the coming days a website will be launched with more information about the organization, its mission, and how to get involved promoting the facts about Turkey's global importance. In the meantime, for more information on the Turkish Institute for Progress or to schedule an interview with a spokesperson from the organization, please contact Andrew Ricci of LEVICK at 202-973-1334202-973-1334.
